Blood after going poo

I'm a ftm so excuse me if this is normal. But I went poo this morning and when I wiped there was blood. Not a lot but it was definitely red. I checked to make sure it wasn't coming from my vag and it wasn't. Is this normal? Could it be hemorrhoids? Never had hemorrhoids before so Idk what those are like. Should I let my doctor know?
