Newbie Q -- Stash Size??

Question

Does my stash seem big enough for laundering every other day? Or should I get more? I have: 12 prefolds, 3 prefold covers, 3 snappis, 6 pocket diapers with 6 hemp/cotton inserts and 4 bamboo inserts.

I see it as you have 21 changing opportunities because sometimes you have to let the pocket covers dry up before using them again (putting in another insert). I think that will be fine for a newborn but I would work on getting more when you can, Little by Little? I had about 20 diapers for my son as a newborn although only AIO/POCKET and once he turned about two months is when he started needing more. I would purchase them separately on Etsy or in bulk from second hand sellers and now he’s five months and I have about 35//40. I wash every 2-3 days. I’m working on getting more when I have money and find sales online/second hand :)

How often do you plan to wash. My LO went through 12-14 a day in the newborn phase. And you’ll want a few extra for while laundry is running and those “but I just changed you!” times
