I skipped my period.. doctors don’t understand. HELP
I’ve been on birth control for two years now. I’ve always let them go as usual, never skipped the inactive pills. Well for Christmas I was going to have my withdrawal bleed and I didn’t want to since I’d be on vacation. I was told it was okay to do this, and that it would skip my withdrawal bleed. So when my pack was up, I started a new one.... and started bleeding three days later.
I was super confused but thought it would go away but called my doctor to ask about it but just got the answering machine. It’s been a week now. I’m in my second week of my pack and I’m still lightly bleeding. I take them everyday, at the same time everyday. I have been reading everywhere and heard this is normal. My doctor finally called back.... a week later. And said I should use back up for two weeks because it’s hard telling what the bleeding is coming from but shes assuming I still got my period. BUT ITS ALMOST BEEN TWO WEEKS. I’ve had unprotected sex.
Ladies I need help please. I was told I could do this. I did it and now I’m being told I shouldn’t have done it. Is skipping your withdrawal week safe? Am I still protected? Please help.
