Was there something wrong?

So last month after ovulation I had sore boobs right until af and that's never happend before. I ovulated yesterday and boom once again sore breasts. I read an article saying sore breasts after ovulation is a good sign that progesterone is increasing as it should in your cycle. I can't help but think since this is caused by the rise in progesterone if all the months before I never had sore breasts something was wrong. Is it possible I wasn't so regular or wasn't producing the normal amount of progesterone?
