I think I would honestly die of a broken heart if my partner died. I'd be heartbroken if my partner left, but nearly anything is better than him dying unless he was gonna be a vegetable for the rest of his life or something like that.

I would very heart broken if SO left me... but he's the father of my kids. The thought of him dying and them growing up without their father is worse than any personal heart break i could ever feel.

Well at the end of the day, all I want is for him to be happy so if his happiness is found away from me, then that’s that.

I'd rather him dump me , cause at least there's a chance of getting him back . If he died it would be game over and be devastating

I would be devastated if my husband left me, but I would never want anything bad to happen to him, especially because we have a child. I think anyone who would prefer their partner be dead over leaving them needs therapy.
