Today at his one month pediatrician appointment, my son’s doctor ordered an ultrasound to make sure his hips aren’t at risk for dysplasia because he was footling breech nearly my entire pregnancy (I had a uterine septum that they found during the C-Section that made him unable to flip after he became a certain size). My question is what should I expect at the appointment? It is at a Children’s hospital, so I know they know how to handle infant ultrasounds, but how exactly does the ultrasound tell them if he is at an increased risk? Any stories or information would be greatly appreciated!
