I’m 16, he’s almost 30. He acts 12, and we have our sibling rivalry and mean jokes. He called me last night drunk and said he’d come pick me up today. (I haven’t seen him in 4 years) and I knew he wouldn’t. So I told him today “I know I probably won’t see you and that’s okay, just wishing you a happy new year” and then all of this cane after. I’ve been balling my eyes out for an hour now.

I realize I was in the wrong too. I snapped and had my guard up because this year has been rough, no excuse tho. But I just need to know if I should apologize or just let it go and move on without my brother. I love him, but I feel like he’s being a complete asshole. Should I just count my losses now?
