First prenatal visit at 8 weeks? :/

Doc wants me to wait until 8-12 weeks because that’s when they can hear the heartbeat at first, but I’m barely 4 weeks now and I don’t want to wait over a month to go to a Dr. Does that seem a little long to anyone or is that normal?

That’s totally normal. Some doctors make you wait even longer.. at 4 weeks you won’t even be able to see the fetus on an ultrasound. I know it sucks to wait, but it’ll go by faster than you think! 😊

It’s normal. I had to wait the same. The wait is horrible but trust me... ITS WORTH IT! Seeing the little one with limbs moving around is worth a months wait.

totally normal.  most drs wont see you until at least 8 weeks, but usually 10-12 weeks....unless you are high risk.  as early as you are, there is nothing to see in ultrasound and the heartbeat is undetectable, so all it would do is freak you out, scare you, and cause you undue stress. thats why drs wait.  the waiting sucks, but freaking out because you went too early and saw/heard nothing sucks more.  be patient.  you'll get to see your little one when there is actually something to see/hear.

Same here! I’m not scheduled till Jan 17th. I thought you had to be seen within 2 weeks of the positive test. I guess not... Good Luck with everything!!!!

It’s normal! I had a missed miscarriage back in September. I’m currently pregnant again and they still don’t want to see me until I’m 8 weeks.

I feel I got lucky then! I found out preggo on Nov 29th, made an appointment for Dec 19th. That wait was awful but I'm going TODAY for my ultrasound 🎉💃 Its a tad confusing I think I'm 7w, 3d today but the doctor was talking about going back to my Oct period so I'd be like 9w. They didn't have an ultrasound tech and doctor in today so ultrasound today and go back Friday for talking everything over with the doctor. So I'll have answers this week! Good luck waiting! I feel lucky they took me at 6weeks if most don't go til 8-12 weeks 😕

It’s normal cuz if u go now all you will see is an empty gestational sac
