My periods are finally normal

Sh

Periods are crazy with PCOS. One of my big problems was REALLY heavy periods. The fastest I soaked through the an ultra tampon was in 20 minutes, but normally they would last 1.5 hours. At night time I would wear the ultra tampon, and a huge pad. I would set my alarm to wake me up for every 2 hours to change tampon and pad otherwise it would look like a murder when I woke up. I couldn't have sleepovers, or ever go swimming. I had anemia because of the blood loss, and was tired all the time. I went on birth control for 1 year to control this.

NOW: I've been off birth control 1 year. Periods are still irregular (24-33 days apart) (much better than previously going 8 months without a period), but they are not heavy. I use a super+ tampon and it lasts me 6 whole hours before it leaks! And I can finally wear regular sized tampons for some of the days. It's so freeing to have a "normal" period and not having to change plans because of it. I literally get so happy thinking about it!
