When do you post on Facebook?

Just curious as to when do you think is the right time to announce your pregnancy on Facebook? I know most people say after your first trimester but I don't think my family can wait that long to tell everyone. lol

We posted right away after calling close family. Most of our family knew we were trying for over a year and a half and we were so excited. This way too I have more support if (god forbid) we did miscarry and we don't have to hide being sad or upset. And if I'm not feeling good people don't need to ask "are you pregnant finally?" Instead they know and are just like "feel better" and usually leave me good tips to help with morning sickness.

Depends, it's really all personal preference. I announced at 4 weeks, couldn't wait hahaha. Plus I figured I'd rather have the support than quietly grieving if anything went wrong.

Not planning on it... In my husband's culture you don't announce your pregnancy except to close people until the 7th month ... And our Facebook accounts have lots of not close people who don't need to know till baby is born.

With my first pregnancy we told our close family and friends at 8 weeks.  We wanted to surprise our family at Christmas.  We told some close friends in the few weeks after. Unfortunately we lost the baby at 12 weeks, but I had the support I needed from those closest to me.  Now I am 7 weeks with our second and we have only told my parents.  We will wait a bit longer to tell others.  I couldn't go through another loss without my husband and mom by my side- it was heartbreaking, but I am hopeful!  Will be a long time before posting on fb!

As soon as I found out I told family.  Then I posted a picture of my son holding a sigh saying he was going to be a big brother...I was only 5 weeks.  But I have never had a miscarriage and had a successful first pregnancy so I was confident everything would be fine.  If something did happen at least I would have support from people.  I was too excited to wait! (I am 11+2 and all is perfect with baby)
