I don't seem to be getting notifications when people comment on my stuff. It doesn't show up on my phone or my genius?

I don't get any notifications at all. Sort of hard to stay engaged in conversations. I just try to look at the participated bookmark page from time to time to see if someone responds to me. Better late than never right?
