9 month old not crawling?

Is it normal that my 9 month old hasn’t crawled yet? He pushes up and wants to do it but he mostly just flails on the ground and gets mad. He can sit up by himself and when he’s on his tummy he goes in circles and moves that way but hasn’t crawled yet. Is he getting behind developmentally?

My daughter is 7 months tomorrow and just started moving forward today. But all babies are different. My brother in law skipped crawling and started walking at 11 months.

Every baby is different. My sister and I had babies 3 months apart. My son crawled at 5 months and walked at 9.. my sister’s daughter crawled at 1yr and walked at 15 months. Nothing wrong with either, both just different paces. Encourage him with activities that help strengthen him, but he will get there 😊 If you’re worried, maybe let your pediatrician know if he’s not crawling by his birthday.

If youe ped isn't concerned try not to worry! some kids just skip the crawling stage and go straight to walking. Each child will do things in their own time :)

my 8 month crawls everywhere, so maybe u just gotta set them down on the floor, that’s how my daughter learned .

I don’t know if this helps but my son had already been crawling for a while at that age. But every baby is different and if you’re concerned you should bring it up to your pediatrician.
