Do you like the backpack leash for toddlers?

I’m a mom of a 16 MO old babygirl and currently pregnant with our second baby. Sometimes it’s hard to keep a toddler close to you especially when they start walking they wanna be everywhere. Sometimes when my husband is not with me when I’m shopping for groceries or running Erns ’ it can be hard at times going after them specially when your pregnant again lol. What are your thoughts on them? I was thinking of getting one for my daughter 🤔

I'm not a mom but I'd totally use it. We almost lost my sister at a holiday destination because she wandered off. People need to understand that you need to do what you need to do to keep your child safe.

I say, do what you gotta do to keep your kids safe! If that means wearing a leash, so be it.

I never used it. I put my son in a stroller or carried him when I was pregnant with my daughter. My thing is if a kid does like being in a stroller, tough. Those backpacks/bracelets can be taken off and if you aren't watching them because you assume they are safe someone could take off with them. Stroller or in the cart while shopping. When my kids didn't like it I told them to dry it up. Screaming is never how you get your way in my house, and they soon learned that throwing a fit didn't do anything but get you tired.

If you have a kid that wanders or runs, it's a safety issue and I think it's good. I didn't understand this until my second son started doing just that. In a crowd especially and if you have multiple kids to manage, it's safer. Never needed one for my oldest son, but my second kid I did.

My mom used to think it was horrible until my daughter ran out of her grasp at a parking lot and almost got ran over. After that we never left the house without the backpack. My daughter loved the backpack, she thought it was a plushy and she still had 2’ or 3 to wander close by. My daughter is 10 years old now and she still loves that thing. It doesn’t fit her but her dolls use it. I am pregnant now and we got one for the baby. I don’t care what other people think, I feel safer having the backpack on. Most backpacks have pockets too so kids just see it as an actual backpack.

With a toddler that is very curious and actively walking id say definitely yes, in crowded places of course.. such as malls, fairs or Disney world. Either the stroller or leash to give them some freedom. It’s too risky to have a loose child in those places even with eyes on them at all times.

Idk why people prefer to their one year olds as months but I don’t like the leash, they have this bracelet you and your baby can both wear it’s better

I have a backpack but I only used it once, it made my son fall backwards  because the force of stopping his whole upper body when he was running away lol.  I would suggest trying the bracelet one Christy posted, that's my next move if we need it.

Not a fan of the backpacks but I will definitely be getting the bracelet one, that you and baby wear, once my daughter starts walking.
