Contractions??

Ok, I know this is a dumb question lol. BUT for all the mamas who have given birth already what did your contractions feel like?? I keep getting these bad gas type pains in my lower abdomen. I've had 2 children already but with my first my water broke and I was induced with the second so I'm having a hard time remembering exactly.

For me it started off as really bad menstrual cramps then progressed to sharp stabbing pains in my lower back that wrapped towards my lower pelvic area. I had terrible back labor!!!

FTM also and mine felt like very painful period cramps that would come every 3-4 minuets and last about 1 minute each happening consistently for a whole hour. Good luck!!

Mine felt like the world’s worst gas/period cramps. Really low in my abdomen and that’s the only place I felt them

Mine started out just like you’re describing, but intensified where I couldn’t talk and could barely breathe through them. They made me want to cry and I was in so much pain I was on the floor in child’s pose trying to get through them! They also lasted 90 seconds to 2 min and were every 2-3 min for about 5 hours that’s when I knew to go back to hospital. I had gone in earlier when contractions had been happening for 2 hours at 4 min apart and was sent home bc I was only dilated to a 1. They said to come back when I was in so much pain I felt it in my eyelashes lol

FTM and just experienced contractions yesterday. For me, it was the worst back and hip and pelvic pain ever. Thank goodness for epidurals. Still in labor though 😔
