First prenatal appointment?

So my first prenatal appointment is today & i have no idea what to expect. Can any of you give me some advice as to what to bring to the appointment and also what they're going to do? Thanks! I'm 8w 2d

as the first person to comment said, all offices are different. my first appointment at 8 weeks was boring AF. had a pap smear because i was over due for one. std testing because thats standard procedure. blood work...and a bunch of questions about medical history and pregnancy history in immediate family. no ultrasound for me and i dont believe they checked for a heartbeat early because it was too soon but she did press on my lower abdomen to feel around to make sure my uterus was expanding. had an ultrasound the following week. with my second pregnancy it was exaclty the same except i was seen at 4 weeks (new ob in a different state) and had an ultrasound at 5 weeks which showed absolutely nothing that early lol

This is how my appointment went: they did an ultrasound first to check for viability and date the pregnancy, don’t expect them to show you the screen right away; they do that just in case there isn’t a heartbeat. 
If everything looks good you move on to the 2nd part of your appointment. Some doctors do a pap scan and check your cervix and uterus m. mine didn’t do one at that appointment because I had just went through a miscarriage and D&C; two months before. Then they just tell you your estimated due date and what the heart rate is, and ask how you’re feeling, if you’ve been super sick and if you have any questions. That was it for me. 
If there isn’t a heartbeat they will likely have you come back in a few days and see if there has been any growth or change, if not then they will talk about your options to expel the pregnancy. Which usually are: waiting for a natural miscarriage, taking a pill that starts the miscarriage, or scheduling a D&C.; 
Every doctor is different though and I have no clue of what my doctor did was standard practice.
