when to start charting

hey ladies.  I've decided to start charting  my bbt. my fertile week is over this month but wanted to know when I should start charting.  when AF starts?( hoping she doesn't) or  right away? do you chart the entire month?  sorry if these questions are stupid, this part is new to me

I start when AF comes as this is classed as the first day of your cycle. However I would start now as it certainly isn’t going to matter if you start charting beforehand. Then you will still get to see how the end of your cycle charts as reference but hopefully as you say AF doesn’t come & you get your BFP 😉✨ Good luck!
