Cycle issues?

Anyone else have issues with their cycle? I ovulated a week-ish early this month on Dec. 11th, then figured my spotting from Dec. 21-25 was my period because sometimes all it is is spotting and. Then today I had cramping earlier this morning and I'm getting heavier bleeding but not enough to soak a tampon in 2 hours. I also noticed what felt like rolling cramps, kinda like waves rolling in and out, this afternoon while sitting around. Any advice what might be going on? I'm considering visiting my OBGYN as we have been TTC for 9ish months now.
