Glucose test question?

So I am just supposed to go into the lab whenever before my next appointment to do the glucose test but was wondering if peanut butter and marmalade toast would be too fatty to eat before hand. I was planning on yogurt and eggs this morning but cravings got to me lol. Anyways I wanted to get the test done and out of the way but was wondering if I should wait for another day.

Last time, I had to fast before mine, and they had me take the two hour test because of my weight. But I passed with no issue.

I would skip carbs and process sugars for several hours before the test (if not the entire day). Stick to protein based foods!

My doctor said to eat whatever I wanted about 2 hours before the test. I never even thought of there being restrictions.

I would suggest some type of protein as it helps offset the sugars that are in the beverage. didn't with my first and had a headache/lethargic rest of the day. this time I had egg sandwich and I didn't experience any type of sugar crash like the first time. passed with flying colors both times

For my glucose test yesterday, I ate two eggs, some roasted veggies and some cheese and then a lot of water about three to four hours before. I was a little hungry going into the test, but it went fine. Still haven’t heard if I passed yet though..

I don’t have to fast before my glucose test, but they did recommend only eggs or something with a lot of protein. I hate eggs so I guess I’ll be fasting. 
Peanut does raise blood sugars of a diabetic pretty easily. Wouldn’t chance that

Depends on the peanut butter. Ones without added sugar should be fine as there’s minimal carbs in peanuts or any added oil. The marmalade is high in sugar and high GI though so that will spike levels and if the toast is white, it’s the same spiky way. Whole meal would be slower to raise levels but still has 16-18g carbs a standard slice. I’m type 1 diabetic and carb count with an insulin pump so I’m used to doing this stuff. If you can’t fast, go for something with no carbs like eggs as mentioned before or meat/cheese.

I just did mine yesterday and fasted for about 12 hours. I passed with no issues which was a surprise to me because the doctor suspected I may have GD.

The only thing I ate before mine with my first son was scrambled eggs. Passed no issue. Fruit and bread will translate to sugar on this test.
