GENDER AT 14 WEEKS???
So I got some blood testing done through Counsyl and they called with the results today.
My boyfriend and I have been waiting for this call because we heard we'd be able to find out the gender early. We already have a son who will be 2 in April so we were really hoping for a girl, and I honestly thought it would be a girl because this pregnancy is completely opposite from my first. So when we seen the number pop up we both were like
So we answer and she tells us everything in the bloodwork was fine, and then asks if we'd like to know the gender. So we're like
And she says "it's a male"
Now I mean I'm excited because I'm having my rainbow baby, and my son is going to be a big brother, but I might've sounded disappointed because I really thought this was a girl
So all I could say was "oh wow" and my boyfriend is just sitting there with his mouth open, speechless. And the woman on the phone says "iiiis that a good thing?" And I was just so confused and I'm like "yeah of course" and we ended the call.
I feel so bad but I just started crying.
Not because I'm mad it's not a girl it's just I never seen myself having a house full of boys. I grew up with 3 brothers and 1 sister so I expected to have all the girls. So now I'm like
Saying "my house is gonna be a boxing ring!!" And my boyfriend just laughs 🤦🏼♀️
We told some of our family about the gender but i still don't want to tell everyone because maybe when we go to the 20 week ultrasound we'll find out maybe the blood work was wrong???
I'm excited but at the same time I'm so shocked because this pregnancy is so different from my first and I really expected a girl 😂
I'm not let down I'm just kind of confused I guess? Shocked still? Should I feel bad? I'm not sure how to handle this all haha and I figured here was a good place to talk about it!
Here's some pics of the little BOY💙
