I’ve just recently turned 17 and I’ve been diagnosed with a cyst in my left ovary. My doctor said it’s already 6cm Dua later and should it burst (which can be caused by carrying/lifting too much weight, exercising, or simply a bump) it could rupture causing tremendous pain. I’d have to be rushed into surgery and have my whole left ovary removed. When he told me this I felt overwhelmed and I still feel that way. I need some support bc I’m kind of freaking out. I want to have kids in the future but this at such a young age makes me really worried.

No matter what you’re going through or what any doctor says, GOD has the final say so. Trust him, he will NEVER leave you nor forsake you❤️

You will be fine your right ovary is still there I am 26 and I don’t have my Fallopian tubes due to having being pregnant in my tubes and my right tube almost busted and my left tube wasn’t connected to my ovary at all. I am in the process of getting pregnant as we speak you shall be fine. You have a lot of support from all of us females up here who has gone through what your going through or going through. Just keep your head up and don’t let it bother you too much

I am so sorry to hear that you are going through this. I actually just had my right ovary removed last Wednesday due to a softball sized cyst. I already have 1 child and am not looking to have anymore but my doctor had reassured me that if I do want more children in the future that there would be no issue with me getting pregnant again with the remaining ovary. Also, 2 of my aunts concieved their babies with only one ovary. I was pretty freaked out by the whole thing but surgery went super well and recovery has been relatively quick. Please let me know if you have any questions!

I’ve had multiple cysts rupture ever since I was 16-17 and never was I told to go into surgery and have an ovary removed.... I was always told that if it got past a certain size they just drain it to help it go away on its own. It’s best to get a second opinion to calm yourself down because the first time it happened I was also told I’d need surgery, and I just had a baby 6 months ago so having them doesn’t prevent having a child, but it can make the whole thing more stressful

I would ask for a 2nd opinion. Ovarian cysts are common, it's common for them to rupture, however it's not common to have to be rushed to surgery and have your ovary removed, not sure why they would scare you with that
