birth control injection

Hi babes! I know some of you are probably wondering about the birth control injections; you're either on it or are considering it. I thought it'd be nice to share my personal experience. I'd like to point out that every body is different, therefore everyone reacts differently. I'd also like to state that I DO NOT use Depo Provera. I know it's the most common, but since I am from Mexico I take Femydrol. This shot contains both estrogen and progesterone, unlike the depo shot which contains both. I've only taken the shot once and I'm in the waiting room as I'm about to take the other. I started on the 1st of December and since you're supposed to take to every month I came to the doctor today since my period is also due. The first time I took the shot I was terribly depressed and sad the day after and I noticed that on the 3rd day my period was over (the fourth day was just dark spotting but after that nothing). I'd read that it affects your acne and weight. Also, the use of contact lenses. I've always had acne (not cystic but it's pretty bad) so I can't say whether or not it affected it cause it always gets worse due to stress and pms. As for the weight gain, I was worried I'd gain a lot of weight cause It increased my appetite to the point that I just saw or craved something and started to eat like crazy and specifically this month I stopped going to the gym. Although my appetite increased, my weight didn't. In fact, I actually lost weight. At the beggining of the month I weighed 53.2 kilos and I was weighed a few minutes ago and weighed 43 kilos! (we usually measure in kilos not pounds). I honestly don't believe it cause I look about the same. The day I got my shot I went out later and put my contact lenses on and immediately felt that It was uncomfortable. My eyesight was blurry and my eyes were itchy. I'm omw to take my second shot and I'll keep you girls updated (I think I'll do this every month so I can keep track of myself as well). If you have any doubts or questions please ask.
