Combo feeding and baby spitting up

My LO is 1 month 2 weeks. For the first part of the month I breastfed or have breast milk only. I go back to work next week and I knew we would have to have the baby on formula while I was gone (I’m just not making enough milk to pump and feed). Anywho I give the LO the Emfamil Premium Newborn. We have noticed he spits up now both the breast milk and formula. Sometimes it’s a lot and sometimes a little. Is this normal? I’ve considered switching to Emfamil A.R. for babies who spit up. Has anyone tried the Emfamil A.R.? If so does it help?
