Odd discharge

Sorry the photo is hard to see, but i had a weird, thick white discharge today and was really concerned. I expected it to smell awful, like most infections, but it had an oddly sweet scent in a chemically kind of way which was even weirder. Should i be concerned about the consistency or smell? Please help.
