Is it possible here in the UK to find out sex of baby as early as 9-10 weeks by having a certain blood test? I’d never heard of this method of finding out gender, especially so early!

There are blood tests, but they are expensive and not necessarily accurate. I would wait until the 20 week scan personally. Well, that's what I'm actually doing. Lol. I know it's exciting and you're very keen to find out the gender but you can still bond with baby especially through appointments and scans until then.

100% wait and do a private gender scan we got ours for £50 on a deal and it was so worth it , makes the experience and excitement that much better!!

If you want to find out earlier than your 20 week scan - try and look for a private scanning company. I had one at 16 weeks (earliest they can tell properly and earliest they will do one for insurance purposes) I used Babybond and they were fab 😊👌🏼 found out I was having my second baby boy 💙 x

There is a private blood test you can have a bit later than 9 weeks but well before the 20 weeks scan you can get with the nhs! Also amniocentesis can confirm gender also x

I had the Serenity non-invasive prenatal test done at 10 weeks which included the gender, there are other NIPTs available at 10-12 weeks. I don’t think any are available at 9 weeks due to there needing to be a certain level of fetal DNA in your blood. 
It is pricey (£500+) so I wouldn’t do it just to find out the gender!!  I don’t know if there are cheaper things like the “sneak peek” test available here.
