1 month old doesn’t look like us? Please read

Question

My daughter is almost two months old and doesn’t resemble her dad or me? I mean we see them sometimes but usually we don’t. 
I understand genetics differ but my husband is dark skinned and so is the rest of his family members and I’m light skinned but not LIGHT, I’m Caramel. We both have curly hair.
He’s 50%black and 50% Trinidadian and I’m 25% Native and 75% Black. Our daughter has very light skin and straight hair, she looks like she is mixed with white is this normal?

From what I understand it can take a bit of time for a dark skinned baby to get dark sometimes. A lady I know her and her husband are black and the baby was born looking white. But got darker as time went on

We have a little girl at the daycare I work at and she’s 50% African American and 50% white. She doesn’t resemble her dad AT ALL. She looks like she has 2 white parents. Genetics are weird sometimes.

all babies are born much lighter than they end up! even white babies are red/pink when they're new, and they don't stay that color, lol! don't worry to much about it
also, sometimes the " baby hair" is different color or texture than it will end up. my son was born with red/auburn baby fuzz, it fell/grew out and has been dark ever since...he's eighteen now

How old is the baby? My daughter is 50% Black, 25% Vietnamese and 25% White. She was born with silky strait hair and looked full Asian. She was my twinnn for 2 days. 😂 Now the child just looks black. Her hair isn’t kinky but she has tight curls.  They change as they grow, for sure.

I think at one month old it's too early to tell. Especially with skin color. My DD skin keeps getting lighter And more pale.

My son is 1/8 black, 1/4 Puerto Rican, 1/8 Native American and 1/2 white. He has curly Golden blonde hair. He doesn't look like either of his parents

My kids are mixed and they both were very very light with straight black hair when they were babies. My youngest was so light skinned she used to have the reddest rosy little cheeks and super straight hair. Now she’s 9 and she has a beautiful caramel complexion with a head full of natural crazy untamable ringlets. My girls didn’t get their color or curly hair until they were toddlers. Just give it time!

Genetics are funny sometimes and who knows, skin starts lighter and darkens over time. You both could also have some recessive genes for lighter skin or lighter hair and it presents itself. Basically the same a reason a family with dark hair, tan skin, dark eyes, including several children end up with one child that is party white with blue eyes and red hair. Those recessive genes can show at anytime. Plus, babies change so much in the beginning it's definitely normal.
