Salt inhaler review
So a while ago..seriously like 10,099 years ago another person on here posted that she was using a salt inhaler for asthma.
She noted the fact that she was also using the albuterol inhaler prescribed by her doctor when needed but basically just heard of the salt thing and tried it. She liked it.
At first I thought it was a preventative thing. Because I would sure as shit not trust that to save me if im in a serious situation and need to breathe.
Oh yes, might as well explain what it is
You put the salt in the bottom of the container, it has a vent so you're not sucking up salt. Basically you inhale and the air hits the salt before it hits your lungs. It's supposed to open your air ways. It's Himalayan salt, not the shit you put on your food. ( I put it on my food and it was actually hella good lol)
Also found out there's salt lamps. I got one. It hasn't done anything but reduce static electricity in my room. Could be coincidence, don't care. The thing is cool to look at. THERES ALSO HIMALAYAN SEA SALT CUTTING BOARDS TO CUT FOOD ON. Yum.
Anyways this person got SHAT on by this community for trying this out and talking about it. Even though she said she still had an inhaler. Said that this worked.
You can't really just imagine that you can breathe while you're having an asthma attack. You either can or can't breathe. theres no possible way around that.
So I tried it. Eh, it wasn't as potent as an inhaler but it definitely did something. I had to sit and use it multiple times to get any sort of real affect from it. NOTE: I had my rescue inhaler in case that didn't work. There's like certain levels of an asthma attack..for me at least. I was at like level 2, It was brought on by physical activity. If someone sprayed some type of chemicals towards me, like air freshener for example, I'd need my albuterol ASAP so I don't fall over and die. I know myself. Okay? Okay.
It seemed like it took the edge off the asthma attack if that makes sense. It was easier to breathe but with the albuterol, well with an inhaler or nebulizer it gets deep into your lungs and you're able to really take a deep breath afterwards. Even when you can barely breathe it gets deep into your lungs.
With this, not so much. Youd have to seriously sit down and huff this shit which is hard when your own body is suffocating you.
If you were in an emergency situation and didn't have a rescue inhaler, this would probably hold you off from turning blue for a while until you sought medical attention or something. PLEASE DO NOT REPLACE YOUR INHALER WITH THIS HOLY SHIT DONT DO THAT. I should also add that i asked my pulmonary doctor about this and she was like "I've never heard of that before, But you can try it and tell me how it works out. Id like to know but still use your inhaler" because I was seriously skeptical about inhaling freaking salt.
I don't really use it. I don't see a point when I have my inhaler. I don't even know where the salt inhaler is right now because I ordered more salt (you're supposed to replace the salt) and it was too small this time and falling through the vents and I got mad and dumped it all out and threw the thing somewhere because I'm a hot headed little shit.
So here's your honest review for Himalayan salt inhalers.
It's good but not THAT good. Sorry for the mad obvious presentation of my ADD here.
Again
*please x100 do not think it's a good idea to replace your albuterol with this.
