My son was diagnosed with a milk protein allergy at 2 months. He is exclusively breastfed and it’s my understanding that it’s very rare for an EBF baby to have a milk protein allergy, and his dr. diagnosed it based off the fact that he was being fussy and had a microscopic amount of blood in his dirty diaper they analyzed (we have never seen blood in his stool). He had no other symptoms and everything I’ve read says there’s typically rash/eczema, breathing trouble, vomiting etc...he had none of those things. I’ve been dairy/soy free per the dr. since he was diagnosed (which, I don’t care, I’d do anything for my boy) but I feel like he doesn’t have this allergy...? Is there another way to diagnose it? What was your experience with your kiddos?
