The only part that hurt me was the numbing stuff before they insert it. 
Getting it removed was a bitch and a half though. It moved way above the insertion site and the doctor literally had to dig around my arm and yank to get it out.

just had mine taken out actually! mine didn't hurt going in, just sore. and the same can be said for it coming out. I psych myself up for pain though so my personal "during" insert and removal hurt but thinking back to it, I call myself a big baby because it didn't actually hurt lol

I could barely feel it. Your arm is a little sore afterwards for maybe a day and when you first take the bandage off it feels a little odd for a few minutes. But it was all way easier and painless than I was stressing about. 😊
