Weird/annoying ultrasound appointment.

Anyone else go in for a scheduled ultrasound appointment and the doctor just ended up listening to the heartbeat and not even looking at your baby?

She came in asking if I wanted to know the sex, to which I replied no. She proceeded to use a doppler on my belly and listen to the heartbeat and said well baby sounds fine and healthy so I don’t need to take a further look. I was confused and asked her, “so wait am I not going to see the baby today?” And in a rush, she said “I don’t need to see the baby; everything is fine!”

I feel like it was being rushed because it was the last appointment of the day, but I had brought my mother in law and sister in law with me, thinking that they’d get to see the baby. Felt like a waste of time and money!

pregnancy hormones had me crying afterwards but the annoyance of the whole day is still lingering. Anyone else have an experience like this during pregnancy??
