what to do tomorrow for new years?

I seriously don't feel like cooking something big and that it's going to take me hours and  just for me and my husband, and my little one...we live far from home and we are alone in a city we barely know or we barely get to go out...any suggestions on what to do tomorrow?

I’m 6 months pregnant, I have 4 other kids, I cooked full on meals completely solo for Thanksgiving and Christmas and I’m just over it! This will be the extent of our meal tomorrow 🤷‍♀️

It’s always just been hubs and I as we’re quiet people. We usually make meatballs (grape jelly+chili sauce), stuffed mushrooms, and have sparkling juice (both dislike champagne) and channel hop because we either hate the music or the hosts. I wasn’t aware people made a big dinner for NYE?

The husband and I will most likely be in bed/asleep by midnight, we usually don't do anything, I think we've gotten pizza previous years. Though one year before we got married his mom called an whined that he/we weren't going to his aunts with them to celebrate, they acted like it was terrible we weren't going because "it's a family holiday" which atleast for me that was never the case, it was usually a friend/party holiday (not that I partied but still!)

people cook big meals for new years eve? honestly, new years eve for us is just another day. we have a normal supper, and go to bed at a normal time. when I was growing up, we played board games until midnight, then went to bed. dinner wasnt a thing, just like Christmas eve, mom would put out crackers, meat, cheese, pickles, home baked goods. things like that.

My fiancé and I are staying in. I am going to get us a bottle of champagne. Also, I am going to make a cheese platter with crackers and something else to munch on. Just appetizers.

It's just going to be my husband, myself and our baby for New Year's Eve so we're just doing an appetizer night, honestly. Making some bacon wrapped smokies, some frozen potato skins we got from Costco, some cut up veggies and dip, and that sort of thing. Low effort, minimum prep and a relaxing evening!
