Should I celebrate NYE with inLaws or with my mom???

My mom and I leave alone, and we have no plans for New Years. However, my bf's family invited me over to their house to celebrate, they have a huge family which has always been very kind to me. I feel bad about leaving my mom alone but I also want to go... what should I do? (Taking my mom over there is not an option bc she is very judgmental and I don't want her to meet them yet, also if I stay we will mostly watch tv and sleep) Am I a bad person for leaving her alone? If it was her, I wouldn't mind if she wanted to go out to celebrate with her friends
