Folic acid or folate?

Hey ladies if you don’t know the difference between the two look this up on line, there’s some debate going on as to which is better and safer for Mom and baby. Which do you take? Which is better? I’m finding in my research that moms experience loss of miscarriages, or are not getting pregnant should really be on folate instead. Opinions?
