Nausea pills?

I wanted to know if anybody has taken medicine prescribed by their doctor to help with morning sickness. I'm 6wks 2days and this nausea is kicking my butt. My sister told me to ask for the medicine the doctor gives but I'm not so much into taking medicines...especially if they don't work all that great. I've been sucking on the preggie pops and those just give me temporary relief.

I’m usually not one to take medicine, because I can’t swallow pills. But I did ask my doctor for some. Diclegis. I’m finding home remedies to work a little better right now

Zofran, it just melts in your mouth (don’t have to swallow). Diclegis did not work for me.

I'm on ondansetron (zofran) as I have hyperemesis gravidarum and have had with each of my previous 3 pregnancies too. 
I was similar to you in my first pregnancy and preferred not to take any medication but as I didn't have any children already I could afford to nap and rest as much as possible. Unfortunately I didn't have that luxury with my 2nd, 3rd and this 4th pregnancy as I was hospitalised due to dehydration etc.  My advice would be to try and avoid having an empty stomach as that seems to make the sickness worse, and have snacks little and often rather than big meals. if you can get by without medicine thent brilliant, but if not then take the medicine without guilt. Hope the sickness is short lived and only lasts the first trimester.

Not sure where you are, but diclegis (not sure we can get it in the US) is basically Unisom and B6. My doctor suggested taking half a pill of each as needed. It helps some.

In Canada we get prescribed Diclectin which is basically an anti-histamine and a B vitamin.    I used it with my last pregnancy because the nausea was too much.   Just started taking it this one. I’m just under 6 weeks.

I'm in the same boat. Been dealing with it for 4weeks now with severe nausea/vomiting and am now 8 1/2 weeks. I thought I didn't need it but boy do I. I don't have a drs appointment until the 10th Iv heard it completely diminishes nausea I hope so because it's so hard to eat!!

I tried unison and b6 and it didn’t work for me but for some reason diclegis did. Even though they are basically the same thing. My doctor said she’s seen it before, some people just react better when they are premixed. If the unison and b6 doesn’t work. TRY DICLEGIS BEFORE ZOFRAN. If you look it up, zofran is actually known to be dangerous and most doctors don’t give it to you unless it’s absolutely necessary
