Not trying to sound conceited but I’m pretty confident with my looks and I get a lot of compliments on my appearance but that doesn’t mean much.
I get anxious all the time. Especially when it comes to college and worrying about jobs.
Honestly, being pretty isn’t going to do anything for things that actually matter in life. If you want things to go well for yourself, you have to actually work for them. You have GOT to get that that thought process out of your head, girl!

I’ve dealt with a lot of anxiety and depression because of the way I look and for a while I thought that if I looked different it would help me but it’s really just about attitude and confidence. I’m still working on it but whenever I change the way I feel I can see that people treat me differently.

If this helps at all, I was an ugly duckling. When I was younger i wasn’t attractive and people didn’t hesitate to tell me. But I was so happy. As I hit puberty, people began telling how pretty I was but I was an anxious, miserable mess so it didn’t matter to me. The exterior doesn’t reflect the interior. Work on your happiness and I promise you’ll glow in the outside.

Not all my problems but a lot of them yes. A few years ago I dropped 40 pounds.  For the first time in my life people thought I really was pretty. I felt pretty. I was no longer embarrassed about people seeing me which made going to school and work easier. All of my clothes looked good on me so my days started off stress free. I was confidant so I made friends easily. I got a modeling gig. I stopped wasting all my money on food, I never wasted it on much else, so I was doing well financially. I felt good about myself, I felt good about my life, I didn't need validation from anyone because I could look in the mirror and see how pretty I finally found myself and everything fell into place naturally. It was the happiest I have ever been. I didn't have the burden of feeling ugly weighing me down.
