Sex after c section ?

I delivered 18 days ago, and my husband wants to have sex. I had a c section but I have healed up pretty good so far and I’m just spotting. Is it ok to have sex? ￼

Your cervix is still open and your uterus is still healing on the inside. Unless you want to risk severe infection and hemorrhaging, I would wait til your 6w checkup.

You still have an open wound inside of you where your placenta was attached. Just because you look okay on the outside doesn’t mean you are on the inside. If you both l think it’s worth the infection or possibly getting pregnant again right away then go for it but there is a reason they tell you to wait for your 6 week appointment regardless of c-section or vaginal birth.

You were cut wide open to remove baby.   Wait the 6 weeks.  You may think you are healed but you’re not.   There are many layers and you don’t want to tare anything and cause internal bleeding.  Just wait

Don’t do it. I had a csection and had sex way before the doctors said. It still hurts like hell and can give you a very bad infection. Just wait!

My doctor gave me the go ahead yesterday at 3 Weeks
Mind you I didn’t go into labor so my cervix never opened
I would ask your doctor and have them decide
However does this mean I’m going to jump into bed right now probably not
Mine said if I’m comfortable take my time

I’d like to point out that just because you don’t go into labour doesn’t mean your cervix isn’t open. My cervix was at 4cm and I wasn’t in labour

We tried too soon at 4 weeks. Honestly it just felt like I was going to split in two and we had to stop. Wait till the 6 weeks

No wait until your dr clears you. You could reopen your incision or get an infection.
