Eczema ?

Recently i noticed my sons skin was getting really dry, kinda pealing and it looked weird. I tried moisturizing his skin more and using coconut oil to see if that would help but it didn’t . I finally decided to take him to the doctor he said it was a ring worm like infection so i used the cream i was given.. now his skin is just blotchy and kinda lighter than the rest of his skin.. nothing to be too worried about right ?

My daughters skin did this which caused her face to peel and become lighter than the rest of her body. She developed dry patches on her cheeks, arms, chest, back and thighs, and her neck became lighter as well. I initially thought it was a fungal infection so I used otc Lotrimin cream. I made her a drs appointment and her pediatrician says it’s eczema. She prescribed a steroid ointment to use on the dry inflamed areas and instructions to moisturize with a hypoallergenic cream and aquaphor. And to use fragrance free detergent, no scented beads and no dryer sheets...

Skip baths for a few days if possible. My daughters whole head peeled so badly. I only wash her head 1x week now and it’s resolved. Her skin improved greatly when I stopped bathing her daily. And moisturize 2x a day! Aveno 1% hydrocortisone cream is THE BEST 🙏🏻 for the scaly patches. I do it 1x day per Pediatrician recommendation

We had this!! My maternity nurse had seen it before and gave us a dermatology cream to use, it's available in the UK, not sure about America. Try to wash him without any soap for a few days and apply a thin layer of cream and a thin cotton shirt over it. It might go away in a few days. I'll post a pic of the creams in a bit.
