Getting a child ready for another baby?

I found out for sure yesterday by a doctor that I'm expecting baby number 2 and I have no idea how to get my one year old daughter ready for a baby. It's just been mostly her and I except for when my husband is home and she screams whenever I hold other kids and gets jealous beyond compare.

Does anyone have tips on how I can get her ready? Or stories on how they prepared their children for a new baby? Pleas I need help

My daughter is 17 mo and we're just talking about babies for the most part. She knows that little brothers name is Alex and if you ask her where the baby is she usually points to my belly. Sometimes she thinks he's in her belly but she usually gets it right lol. We also take every opportunity to show her babies like on diaper commercials. She really likes babies.

Talk with her about it and practice with a baby doll. Carry it around. Change it. Feed it. Tell her how it's going to be. Let her help take care of it. Just so she is prepared and knows what to expect.

When my 2yr found out I was having his little brother he didn't want nothing to do with me until the baby was born he finally came around I talked to him let him help me fix the bottoms he also helped me watch the baby when I use the bathroom he the best big brother ever
