Oily hair help???

Question

So I have really oily hair. If I go 3 days without washing it, I look like I fell head first into a grease factory. I like wearing my hair down but it’s difficult. If I wash my hair every day, it’s greasy. (Makes no sense to me, usually it dries peoples hair out washing it every day). And if I wash it every other day, the middle day I’m stuck looking like a grease ball. Help me please. I don’t condition my hair because I have naturally really smooth/soft hair so it’s not excessive conditioner use. I really need help on this one ladies, I look like an egg when I wear my hair up.

I have very oily skin as well and throughout the years I've learned and tried a lot of new me different things to help. I used to wash my hair everyday but now I wash every other day or two days. You might have shampoo build up. I recommend a clarifying shampoo like "Neutrogena anti residue" shampoo. It's about 6-8 bucks and it works great. Do that once a week. Apply conditioner only on the middle of your hair and down, never on the roots or close to them. Try going 1-2 days without washing, and during those days apply a hair serum on your ends and put your hair up. Also get apple cider vinegar, add some in a bucket with some Luke warm water and dip your head in making sure to soak your scalp. Then rinse and shampoo. Also try changing your shampoo brand. I used to have the same issues. But I made a few changes and it helped. First off, try clarifying your hair with Dawn or grease fighting dish soap. This is super cheap, easy, and may be all you need every couple of months. This will strip out ALL oils, so you will need to condition afterwards. Try a good leave in conditioner, as they tend to be less heavy. Also, if you use any hair products, these may be the cause or contributing to the oiliness. For me, I was using a hair wax that was supposed to add shine. I switched to a matte finish product and it helped. Hope this tip helps.

I have the same problem... I use men's shampoo or the regular suave. I try not to use Aussie or any other kind. I usually do the blue suave or morning sunshine one cause it smells good lol but yeah men's seems to do my hair some good.

I know this sounds counter productive, but dry shampoo, and put it up! 
Do NOT wash it more than maybe 3 days a week! Your hair is trainable, and we actually are doing it such a disservice by washing out all of our hairs natural oils every day. This actually causes our hair to OVER compensate for the natural oils that we are losing, and we start producing more of these oils! 
My hair used to get SUPER oily, and it took some work and frustration, but now it never does!

Try a dry shampoo in between washes and also try a dry shampoo after you wash  and blow dry it. It will help look and feel less greasy and will add volume!

I have the same problem. So far I've noticed that dry shampoo is my BFF! Also don't buy moisturizing shampoo, try Pantene classic. But tbh, more product in my hair = less oily.
