Antibiotics and birth control??!?

I'm taking doctors prescription antibiotics for my acne (not severe acne) but only now I realized after reading about it that antibiotics increase the risk of unwanted pregnancy?! 
so you're saying, even taking antibiotics for my acne or any sickness can effect my birth control pills and I could be pregnant right now?!

hi guys. so i took you guys comment into consideration and asked my doctor and the pharmacist if it was okay. they said it was since it is a low dose of antibiotics (for my acne) and said there is really only one type of antibiotics that would effect BC completely.

Yes, antibiotics affects birth control pills. It usually says it in the pamphlet in the pill pack.
