Are back handed compliments acceptable?
So I was told today ‘you’ve lost weight, you are quite attractive...... you could be more attractive though if you lost more weight’ 😳🙄.
Are back handed compliments acceptable? If yes then why? Does it change your opinion if they come from a good place or if the person saying it has problems of their own? The person who said this to me has an eating disorder so I can kinda see past it but it still made me feel really crappy 😕. I’d love to hear some others have received 😂🙈
