im 15 weeks today and down 15 lbs already because im not eating portions as large as i did before and cut out soda and wine. i just get full faster. my doctor is perfectly happy with baby's progress

Weight loss that you do intentionally is not really okay - obviously talk to your doctor, but now is not the time to restrict yourself.  You are nourishing another human!
That said, some women do lose weight particularly in the first trimester and that is ok as long as it is monitored by a doctor.

Not weight loss. But make sure you only gain what you have to. So if you are already overweight, you so gain much much less. 
Weight loss while breastfeeding is fine though.

It’s perfectly normal to experience some type of weight loss, especially when you’re having morning sickness and such. And if you are overweight you will most likely lose weight depending on how much you started with. It’s important to maintain your weight and not actively try to lose it. Most of the weight gain you’ll get around the end of your second and beginning of your third trimester.

yes and no technically if you are overweight and you don't gain you will lose weight after the baby my bestfriend was overweight and like 15 pounds during the first trimester then gain 25 pounds and lost like 35 pounds after pregnancy you should again what your dr tells you to, it's better for the baby.

My midwife summed it up as this; it’s not ok to go on a diet or take up being a marathon runner while pregnant. Many women loose weight in the first trimester due to morning sickness. 
   If you are eating healthy and moving around you may loose weight. Some women loose weight by cutting out sugar which is a healthy move. It also depends on what your starting weight is...
