IUD removal

So I’m getting my Mirena removed tomorrow and I’m pretty nervous about it. I passed out during my insertion from the pain and experienced horrible cramps for a full month after getting it placed.

After a year of having it in I’ve gotten acne, mood swings, and weight gain.

For those of you who have had the Mirena and gotten it taken out, what was the actual removal process like? Did you experience pain? (this question is really geared towards other women who had similar experiences as I did getting it put in)

If you had side effects like acne or weight gain did they go away?

Any information helps!! Just feeling really nervous and scared.
