Do you find that a lot of younger guys won't date a black female?

I am a teenager. Growing up I have always heard my classmates say, "Black women are ugly. Black women are crazy. I'd rather date a Mexican or white girl than a black girl." That is literally what they would say all the way from elementary and into high school. Not to me, but in general regarding my race. It is so discouraging. It makes me really depressed. Is this really how people see black females?

I used to worry about this same thing, and to some extent still do. Black women are always the but of the joke, or picked last in the lists of attractive women; it’s disheartening. I have never been fussy about race when it comes to guys I’m considering dating, but become hesitant and find myself assuming they may not like black girls. However girl, over the years I’ve learned that you’ve just got to stay slaying 💁🏾‍♀️ the right person will love and respect you as a black woman, be woke to the black girl struggle and love everything that makes you you.

Yes, this is true, a lot of younger guys won’t date a black female.
A few things about that-
1.  It’s an excellent self-sorting mechanism- the guys who are sort of blithely and unconsciously racist will weed themselves out of your dating pool.  So yay! You definitely don’t want to date those guys anyway.
2.  This will shift somewhat as they get older and worldier.
3.  Men are men.  Being hot always matters most lol 😜 Skin color just isn’t as important as gorgeous, even to blindly racist guys (if, for some reason, you wanted to stab yourself in the eye with a fork and date one).  Take care of your appearance, regardless of anything else.
4.  Most importantly - don’t let this trend or tendency affect your sense of being hot shit one bit!!  Being hot attracts guys.  But being a high-value, classy, non-needy, non-clingy woman attracts relationships.  So this unspoken racism you’ve noticed- acknowledge it.  And then ignore it, and proceed like the beauty queen I’m sure you are anyway.

I’ve heard these things before but not too often. If you’re a African American male and you disrespect African American females you’re ignorant. You’re disrespecting your mother , grandmother , aunts, etc. Furthermore, I’ve had guys of different races tell me they liked me but assumed I didn’t like guys outside my race. My current boyfriend is not even African American however I like all races.

Maybe it depends on where you live. I went to Italy with my friend who has dark brown skin and she was getting hit on left right and center. Free drinks at breakfast, free desserts, dates. Maybe it was a bit of fetishism, I don't know? But she was loving every minute of it.

The high school I went to was mostly white people and there was a lot of racism. Most of the guys would date the pretty white girls. I, being the mixed girl, didn’t get much attention like that in high school. I felt like any white guy from that school would be embarrassed to date a mixed girl because of what their friends would say. Idk that’s kind of led me to believe that I’ll never be as good as a white girl.
