Hi everyone I’m looking for some advice. My mum wants to take my baby overnight but I don’t trust her I’m her eldest child at 26 I’ve 2 younger siblings aged 12 & 8.

My mum never stays at home most of the time I call her she’s out somewhere. I don’t want my baby going there to then get babysat by a perfect stranger.

She isn’t queen clean she try’s though and my siblings sometimes help with chores and I’ve told her if the house isn’t tidy enough my child will not be staying.

In total honesty my mum is a pushover who lets my younger siblings rule the house especially when they misbehave. But when it comes to me and my baby she thinks she knows better. I just don’t trust her with my child and my partner doesn’t trust her either. She’s not exactly been doting parent on me while I was growing up. But she wants to do it for her grandson.

My baby has stayed out at my partners mums house but we trust her immensely she has helped us enormously especially when we found out I was pregnant she bought almost everything for us as we were struggling a bit financially because my partner had recently started a job.

My mum on the other hand offered to buy the pram and she was moaning about the prices saying £200 was too much for a pram, buggy and car seat combo.
