How long did it take your period to normalize after moving to a new place?

I recently relocated to china which is 7hours ahead of my country. Since October till now I haven't had my normal period, just spotting and brown CM. I actually thought I was pregnant but kept getting BFN. Went to see the Dr today, found out I haven't ovulated since then. I was given Duphaston 10mg and told I will get my period in five days or less. Has anyone been in such situation? Did it get back to normal? I and DH TTC for our first baby. 😢😢😢😢
