Rant warning

Here in about 4 hours I have my 39 week appt. My Dr does cervical checks 38+weeks. Last week my cervix was high thick and CLOSED. I had been having cramping and braxton hicks and other pains up until the day before that appt. I'm dreading today's appt because I don't want to hear that my cervix is high thick or closed. I'm dreading it because I havnt had cramping, or braxton hicks or anything to make me feel like I'll get a different answer. I know labor could start at any minute and all of that could change so fast, but I don't want to hear that :( I want to hear that my baby is done cooking!

On that note please don't tell me baby will come when he's ready. My SIL was induced at what they thought was 37 weeks because baby stopped growing. When baby was born they said she was over 40 weeks and the placenta looked 42+ weeks. So as much as I understand it's not always true and I'm sick of hearing it :/
