Baby shower drama 😩

Just kind of emotionally blabbing...

When getting pregnant and planning to do so I did not plan or care to have a baby shower. I did not expect or ask anyone to do so. Now I’m actually pregnant and it’s a huge deal. My first friend I told was my best friend who said she will throw me a shower even though I said she didn’t have to, she later found out her other closest friend is pregnant and due a little over a month after me and she was kind of complaining that she’d have to do a shower for her too. Again I said she didn’t have to throw me a shower at all. Later I mentioned this to my other best friend when I told her I’m pregnant and she said she’d throw my shower who I again said she didn’t have to. Well now there’s so much drama about who is throwing a shower and now my first best friend that offered said she won’t come to my shower and neither will her mom who’s basically a mom to me.

So much drama! Like I didn’t think anyone would do it at all and now everyone wants to. Ugh

Now after all that the showers set up invites are out and it’s about a month away. I’m starting to learn who isn’t coming and I feel like no ones going to be there anyway. I only invited about 20 people total because I don’t have a lot of friends or family and now I really think no ones going to come and I feel like my friend is going to waste all this money on a shower for like 5 people to come.

I didn’t even want a shower and now I’m all upset about it. 😩
