So confused

I took a test yesterday, the day my period was due, and it came back positive! was so excited and ended up having sex with my husband. well shortly after I started bleeding. real light and pink at first but now more red. still lighter then my normal period, like only when I wipe and not on my underwear. so I took another test last night, a few hours after the first one and it came back negative. took another one this morning and still negative. was the first one a false positive? have a doctors appointment tomorrow and going to ask for a blood test.
