Cloth diapers?

Can I get some help?? 
So I’m a second time mom, but with my first hubs and I both worked 50+hrs a week and he was in daycare so disposables were the choice for us, however.. 4 years later I’m expecting my second and I’m now a sahm and will be till she starts school as it actually saves us money to not put her in daycare.. so I’m looking into cloth diapering and it’s just so overwhelming!!!!!!!! 😣😣😣 there’s so much!!!!!! So many different kinds, different ways of doing it. Well from what I have researched I think pockets or AIO’s will work best for us? But I need some insight from cloth diapering moms.....
How do you go about throughly cleaning them? 
Can I use my regular detergent (we use gain) or do I have to buy special stuff to wash them in. 
What are your tips for choosing the right cloth diaper? 
They seem pretty expensive to start out, could I buy them used? (No bashing here honestly curious) 
Honestly any and all info I could get would be extremely helpful!!! TIA ladies!!!!!! 
And if you think I would get better answers in a different room please let me know.

FTM and haven’t used my cloth yet (due in a few days!!) and I started out by watching NaturallyThrifyMom on YouTube, she explains all the different systems and is so helpful for deciding between the different types of diapers. Next, i would absolutely join the fluff love & cd science fb group or at least check out their website fluff love university. You can absolutely by used (I bought all of my newborn inserts used) and they provide you with information on how to properly clean them before using them. Also, you can use gain detergent on diapers but may have to add a water softener depending on your water hardness. Do not use a specific cd detergent (waste of money) and definitely don’t use any Pinterest based-DIY detergents (they don’t actually clean) The fb group is super helpful for explaining this stuff in depth and helping you establish a washing routine 😊

I use cloth diapers during the day and nap time. Then at night time I put her in a disposable. Every time I’ve put her in a cloth at night, they end up leaking. Maybe because she pees more and we don’t change the diaper as often during the night? But that routine works great for us. I do love cloth diapers though. I noticed my daughter gets a little rash sometimes when in disposables, while cloth you don’t cloth I like to change every 2-3 hours while disposable I’m sure other let their babies go longer. I use the brand Flip. You can reuse the cover for multiple changes and just change out the insert. Way less laundry. Hope this helps!

look at Alvababy.com :) my best advice is do not stress out at all of the info coming at you! it seems scary and hard and stressful but don't let that sway you from trying it. I heard tide is the best detergent for them. try joining CD science on Facebook and maybe a cloth diaper swap. you can get so much information just looking at posts on there.

cozy comfy cloth  on etzy, she hand makes everything. easy to wash and very good diapers! we used seventh gen free and clear eberytthing for qashing if your breastfeeding tgen you dont need to scrape as breast milk poop is watwr soluble. once you introduce solids you will have to scrape though

totes gdiapers!!! they explain on the website how to clean them, however I use vinegar wash from Pinterest because you can't use normal detergent. it's better for your child and finances.

you can do used but I'd try new. they are expensive upfront however you buy them all and that's it for all children. you won't need diapers again.

I use BambinoMio AIO and I honestly think they’re great! They’re a little more expensive than some other brands we looked at, but it still only cost us £160 to start off with everything we needed, including an antibacterial wash powder that we bucket soak & machine wash them in. You probably could buy them used but I personally wouldn’t, just because you can’t guarantee how well the previous owner cleaned them... 🤢 any other questions feel free to ask! I was so worried cloth would be overwhelmingly difficult but it’s actually been easy!
