no heartbeat?

I'm due Aug 1 with my second. I'm 10 weeks 2 days. I had a prenatal appt 3 days ago and the doctor couldn't find the heartbeat. he told me typically around 10-11 weeks is when they can finally hear the heartbeat. is this true? I remember with my first hearing the heartbeat but I think I was around 12+ weeks? I've had an ultrasound when I was 6-7 weeks and I saw the heartbeat then. I was just expecting to hear it. I've had no cramps, no bleeding, nothing aswell.

It’s possible not to hear it the doctor office until later. I didn’t hear my sons heartbeat till 13 weeks in the doctors office. Being overweight can also effect when you hear the heartbeat. I know plus size women who couldn’t ever find the heartbeat at the office and would have to go be monitored at the hospital but everything was fine. I wouldn’t worry if your doctor not worried. They will schedule appointment if needed.

My dr waits until 13 weeks to use Doppler because its not as accurate before then.

with my first pregnancy they did ultra sounds til I was 14 weeks. Then we to the doppler.

Did they do a vaginal u/s?

They didn’t even attempt it until 12 weeks with me and even then it took them 15 mins to find. Seen it on ultrasound at 8 though.

Drs office always had a hard time hearing in my belly because my placenta is usually more forward and in the way.

I heard my son’s at 10w, but I remember my doctor warning me ahead of time that we might not hear it yet.

If you see the hearbeat you should of been able to hear it
